Rain Birds is an exhibition of recent oil paintings, celebrating the Spring and Summer rains that have transformed the landscape after the fires of 2019. Many works were inspired by daily walks along the razorback near our home, observing the transformation of the forest. Other works reflect on views from deep within the rainforest, as storms and showers swept across the landscape, leaving the mist and cloud to slowly rise from the valleys below.
Rain Birds opens on December 11 and continues until December 19 2021, at the Studio Gallery, 671 Binna Burra Rd, Beechmont. Gallery hours are 10am - 4pm.
